Registered Psychologist – Trauma Focused Practice

Relief Psychological Services is seeking a fully Registered Psychologist to join our growing and collaborative team in Edmonton.

This position will initially begin as a maternity leave coverage opportunity, providing the successful candidate with the potential to step into an established caseload and begin seeing clients relatively quickly.

This is a unique opportunity to step into an existing caseload while also helping shape the next phase of our clinic's growth. Our intention is not simply to provide temporary coverage, but to create a sustainable long-term role where both the incoming clinician and the returning clinician can continue to flourish. Our goal is to continue expanding the practice so that both clinicians can maintain thriving caseloads.

We are looking for someone who is excited not only about the immediate opportunity, but also about becoming a valued, long-term member of a supportive and energetic team.

Clinical Qualifications
You are:

A Fully Registered Psychologist in Alberta.

Experienced in working with trauma and complex trauma presentations.

Trained in at least one trauma processing modality such as EMDR, ART, Brainspotting, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), or similar approaches.

Experienced with Veterans Affairs clients and/or first responders (an asset, but not required).

Bringing additional specialized training, certifications, or niche areas of practice that would enrich our team.

Personality & Team Fit
You are someone who:

Wants to be part of a growing, collaborative, and supportive practice.

Is excited to share knowledge and participate in monthly group consultations where we support one another's professional goals and celebrate each other's successes.

Brings positive energy, motivation, professionalism, and dedication to your work.

Is genuinely excited to be part of a team and contribute to a positive, encouraging office culture.

Enjoys brainstorming ideas, building community, and being part of the ongoing evolution of the practice.

Appreciates having a voice and sharing ideas that help make our clinic an exceptional place for both clients and clinicians.

Wants to work somewhere that is clinically excellent, fun to be part of, and invested in helping both clients and therapists thrive.

Availability
Minimum commitment of approximately 10 hours per week initially, with significant opportunity for growth.

One evening per week would be appreciated but is not mandatory.

Saturday availability is welcomed.

Compensation
Compensation and split arrangements will be discussed during the hiring process and negotiated based on experience, specialized training, and availability. We believe in being transparent, straightforward, and collaborative in these discussions.

Why Join Relief Psychological Services?
At Relief, we value community, authenticity, and ongoing learning. We believe that therapists do their best work when they feel supported, connected, and genuinely excited about where they work.

If you are looking for a place where your ideas are welcomed, your growth is encouraged, and you can be part of an enthusiastic and caring team, we would love to hear from you.
